Manuscript - Piyutim - Morocco, the 19th and 20th Centuries
A manuscript in which are Piyutim from the Rabbanim and poets of Morocco.
The manuscript is made up of two types of pages: one part - early pages from the end of the 19th century, with typical writing for that period, the writing style of Central Morocco. The second part - from the beginning of the 20th century, different handwriting on different pages - probably from several writers.
The manuscript contains various Piyutim and Bakashot, for various times and festivals, piyutim about the redemption of the Jewish people, piyutim in praise of the Torah, the Land of Israel, praise of the creator and more. With Kavanot and Holy Names. On one of the pages is written: "the order of the four means of Judicial execution which are done to the dead" - stoning, burning, slaughter and strangling.
In several places are various signatures: "Moshe Butbul" (in several places). On one of the pages is a signature: "Rafael Even Tzur", perhaps one of the sages of Morocco (mentioned in the book "Otzar HaMichtavim part one, page 51). An additional signature: A.H Massoud Butbul".
On some of the pages are various inscriptions in Hebrew and French.
100 pages. Most of the pages have writing on.
