Chassidut, first edition: Meged Eretz Munkatsh 1907 - rare
Meged Eretz - a summary of legal rulings and innovations, which are found in the book Peri Meggadim on Orach Chayim, by the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Halberstam (1865-1942), the Rabbi of the Hasidic community in Biala and also served in the city of Bilitz. He also served as rabbinate in the city Vaidslav. Followed the customs of a Rebbe. In 1922 he immigrated to the USA and opened a seminary called Devrei Chaim.
He was the son of Rabbi Yosef Ze'ev, the son of the Rebbe Rabbi David Halberstam of Kshanov-Sanz.
The great-grandson of the 'Divrei Chaim' of Sanz.
He was a student of his uncle Rabbi Yehezkel Sharaga of Shinova and of Rabbi Yehoshua Rokach of Belz.
The author's name is not mentioned on the cover of the book. This is how he stated: "I did not write my name down for reasons of secrecy."
Along with 'Meged Eretz' also printed here is "Kuntres of Torah innovations that I heard from my uncle the righteous and holy ...Rabbi Aharon Av Beit Din of Sanz, and I heard it from his mouth in the year 1882 when he was there and I enjoyed the light of his G-d fearing and his Torah".

מגד ארץ - קיצור ותמצית פסקי דינים וחידושים, הנמצאים בספר פרי מגדים על או"ח, מאת האדמו"ר רבי אהרן הלברשטאם (תרכ"ה-תש"ב), אב"ד הקהילה החסידית בביאלא וכן כיהן בעיר ביליטץ. שימש ברבנות גם בעיר וואידסלאב. נהג במנהגי אדמו"רות. בשנת תרפ"ב היגר לארה"ב ופתח בית מדרשו בשם דברי חיים.
היה בנו של רבי יוסף זאב, בנו של האדמו"ר רבי דוד הלברשטאם מקשאנוב-צאנז. נינו של בעל ה'דברי חיים' מצאנז.
היה תלמידם של דודו רבי יחזקאל שרגא משינובה ושל רבי יהושע רוקח מבעלז.
שמו של הרב המחבר לא נזכר בשער הספר. כך ציין: "שמי לא רשמתי מטעמים כמוסים".
יחד עם 'מגד ארץ' נדפס כאן "קונטרס חידושי תורה ששמעתי מפ"ק דודי הצדיק וקדוש טמיר ונעלם ... ר' אהרן אבדק"ק צאנז, ושמעתיו מפיו שנת תרמ"ב בהיותו שמה ונהניתי מאור יראתו ותורתו".
