Painting on Picture of Kabalist Rabbi Chaim Kohen
Colored painting on paper and cardboard over a picture of Rabbi Chaim HaKohen (1836-1925). He was a moreh tzedek in Fez, Morocco where he was buried. This picture was printed in Algeria, 1935, and an additional layer of paint was added on top of it. Decorated, wood frame. 46 cm. tall; 30 cm. wide. Some of the text is rubbed out, small hole on the sides of the picture, moderate condition
