Certificate of honor, “Sefer HaYeled”, JNF. Purchasing land in Kefar Menachem. Bucharest, end of the 1930s. 35×47 cm. Large, colored, printed certificate of honor. Numbered 227, with the embossed stamp of the JNF. Certificate awarded for a donation received for purchasing land, apparently for the third attempt to establish Kefar Menachem in 1939. The name of the child, Chaim Boykos, and his parents were manually inserted in Hebrew and Romanian. The certificate bears a large colored reproduction of a painting of the Tower of David with an olive tree, by noted artist Greta Krakauer Wolf who merited international recognition by the United Nations for her depictions of the settlements in the Jezreel Valley. Light fold marks. Very fine condition.
