Rare: Kuntress Handwritten and Signed by the Leading Rosh Yeshivah, Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky - ”Rabbi Shmuel is the greatest rosh yeshivah of our generation” (the Chazon Ish) Lengthy and important Torah ma'amar spanning four large leaves [approximately 1900 words]! handwritten and signed in full by the leading rosh yeshivah of recent generations, the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky, rosh yeshivah of Ponovezh. [Bnei Brak, 1957.] Important Torah work, fully complete, from the title at the top of the first leaf: ”With Respect to Processed Animal Milk” through the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky's signature on the final leaf: ”Shmuel Rozovsky, Ra”m at the Ponovezh yeshivah. The essay was written with Reb Shmuel's famous golden pen, with his characteristic lucidity, covering all the topics and subtopics related to this halachah. It is worth noting that Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky's lectures on the yeshivish tractates have been disseminated all over the world. They are printed in the series Shiurei Rebbi Shmuel and there is no rosh yeshivah who does not quote this series in his shi'ur klalli . This rare complete shiur is overflowing with the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky's famous genius, specifically in the ”forgotten” Tractate Avodah Zarah, not considered to be among the yeshivish tractates. This manuscript is also important in that the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky very rarely wrote down his Torah; it was generally transmitted through his students' notes [refer to his son's introduction to Shiurei Rebbi Shmuel al Masechet Makkot ]. There are, however, some rare notebooks in his own penmanship, but they are characterized by extreme brevity, not clearly legible, and sometimes even written from various angles of the leaf. This rare manuscript sent to Kol Torah 's editorial board was written by Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky with wondrous clarity so that it would be comprehensible and legible for the journal's editors and printers, and it clearly displays Rabbi Shmuel's rare gift for language and elucidation, unparalleled in his generation, or even in the generations that preceded his. Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky , rosh yeshivah of Ponovezh . The ma'amar was printed in the Kol Torah monthly journal in Kislev, 1957 [4] large leaves, 21x32 cm. Authentic manuscript, with corrections, additions and erasures. Very fine condition. Aging stains. Tiny tears in the margins.
