Kabbalistic-Lithuanian Discovery: Composition on the Zohar by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Bloch, the Chafetz Chaim, who would turn to him for Salvation - Important edition of Sefer HaZohar - Shemot , with many supplements. Vilna, Re'em Widow and Brothers Press, 1894. The title page and protective leaves bear signatures of the tzaddik, Kabbalist and salvation-worker, the gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bloch of Baranovich, primary disciple and chavruta  of the Chafetz Chaim. All along the sheets of Sefer HaZohar  are hundreds of Kabbalistic glosses (!) handwritten by the sacred gaon Rabbi Shlomo Bloch, some especially lengthy, covering the entire page. The glosses contain commentaries on Sefer HaZohar  from various Kabbalists, including the Gr”a, comprising a complete work. To the best of our knowledge, the work is unknown and has never been printed. Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bloch . [2], [2]-278 leaf. 23.5 cm. Hundreds of pencilled glosses (one in pen) handwritten by Rabbi Shlomo, the vast majority are completely legible. The body of the sefer  is generally in fine condition; the first and last leaves are in moderate condition with tears and various blemishes in the margins. Several detached leaves. Tears in several leaves with slight blemishes to the handwritten glosses. Antique binding, blemished and partially detached. Lacking the spine.
