Beautiful Manuscript - Tiklal for Shabbat, Chanukah and Purim. With the Mahari”tz's Commentary. Yemen, 1840 - Manuscript - Yemenite Tiklal consisting of prayers for Shabbat, Chanukah and Purim, with the Etz Chayim commentary by the mighty gaon Rabbi Yichyeh Tzalach (Mahari”tz), one of the leading rabbis of Yemen in recent generations. Beautiful upright scribal script, with several vowelized passages. High-quality white paper, easy on the eyes. Several pages have the title and opening words decorated with red ink. [Yemen, c. 1840]. The manuscript includes: The Kabbalat Shabbat service, Aravit, Kiddush, Shacharit, removing and replacing the Torah scroll (with the blessing HaNoten Teshuah l'melachim ), Mussaf, Kiddush, Minchah, Aravit for Motza'ei Shabbat, Havdalah, Tikkun for Rosh Chodesh, Shacharit and Mussaf for Rosh Chodesh, Birkat HaLevanah, the Chanukah service, Tikkun Purim. Glosses in the margins all along the sefer . Page 5b has a gloss in which the writer notes to his father: ”Perhaps there is a scribal error here. I heard from Abba that the calculation should be ...” Early manuscripts and sefarim  wore out over the years due to extensive use. Prayer books were undoubtedly the most essential and well-used of all sefarim throughout the generations, so that it is hard to obtain early copies of them, all the more so in the excellent condition of this copy. 48 leaf. Lacking the end (apparently a single leaf). 24 cm. Thick paper, light and high-quality. Fine-very fine condition. Stains and light usage marks. Minimal worming perforations. Tears with lack in the margins of four leaves (without lack in the text), with paper completions. Small perforation in leaf 29 without damage to the text
