Historic Document: The Printing of 'Chiddushei HaGra”ch MiBrisk' and its Distribution to Gedolei HaDor - The most important sefer iyun  of recent generations Important and interesting historic document dealing with printing Chiddushei Rabbeinu Chaim HaLevi  Soloveitchik of Brisk, one of the most important yeshivish in-depth study sefarim  of all time. Written on Va'ad HaYeshivot in Vilna stationery, c. 1936. The printing of the  sefer Chiddushei Rabbeinu Chaim HaLevi by the author's sons created a turning point in the study methods in yeshivahs, to the extent that it is customary to divide yeshivah study methods into “Before R’ Chaim” and ”After R’ Chaim.” This is the official Va'ad HaYeshivot document with the precise details regarding printing the first edition of the most important sefer iyun printed in recent generations - the number of copies printed, the number of copies sold, the copies that were distributed for free to gedolei hador , and who the gedolim  privileged to receive them were! This document clearly demonstrates that even before the printing, there were many who understood the tremendous importance of printing this  sefer . This is an official leaf of the ”Sale of the sefer Chiddushei Rabbeinu Chaim HaLevi ' established by the Va'ad HaYeshivot in Vilna, with the goal of assisting with the printing and sale of the sefer . The document contains precise details of the number of sefarim  published by the Va'ad HaYeshivot with a breakdown according to the countries to which the sefarim were sent. As scholars know well, the sefer is printed on two types of paper, one is high-quality paper, and the other, standard paper. The document lists the number of sefarim according to the type of paper. It also records the amounts of expenditure and income for the sefer . It states the cost of binding 500 sefarim , and perhaps this indicates that this was the number of copies printed ... In addition, the sefer was distributed free of charge to 22 gedolei Torah  listed by name. Among the recipients were the gedolei hador  and rashei yeshivahs : Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz, Rabbi Simchah Zelig Riger, Rabbi Eliezer Yehudah Finkel, members of the author's family, and more.
