Letter of Historic Importance about the Appointment of the Rabbi of Jerusalem after Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld's Passing - Interesting letter from Kollel Galicia about the appointment of a rabbi in Jerusalem. 1932. Written by Rabbi Avraham Chaim David Sofer, nasi  of Kollel Galicia, and sent to the Va'ad HaIr L'Kehilot Ashkenazim BiYerushalayim, as a response to a letter they had sent on chol hamoed Pesach (!) about the search for a rabbi for Jerusalem after the passing of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld (d. 19 Adar II 1932). Rabbi Avraham Chaim David Sofer, as nasi  of Kollel Galicia, wrote them that the name of the gaon is the rabbi of Tarnopol, Galicia, Rabbi David Menachem Manish Baba”d shlit”a, ”an expert gaon with tremendous fear of Heaven, he bravely fights Hashem's battles, a man of understanding; he may be relied upon in all matters ...” Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for brief biographies of Rabbi David Menachem Manish Baba”d  and the writer, Rabbi Avraham Chaim David (Echa”d) Sofer . 1 leaf paper. 15x22 cm.
