Manuscript - Netivot Mishpat by the Great Grammarian, Shlomo Zalman Henna - Stunning thick manuscript spanning close to 200 densely and clearly written pages comprising a comprehensive and complete work on the rules and discipline of grammar by the great grammarian Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Henna. Large folded table at the conclusion with the distribution of cantillation notes [טעמי המקרא]. Complete manuscript from the early 18th century. This work is almost identical to Rabbi Shlomo Zalman's known work, Tzohar HaTeivah  (Berlin, 1733) but in a different style and arrangement, and under a different title, as well has being divided into chapters with different names. Erasures and corrections in several places. Close comparison has not been carried out between this manuscript and Tzohar HaTeivah . The sefer  is entitled (at the tops of the pages) 'Netivot Mishpat' and it is arranged in  netivim  and shvilim  (Netiv HaOtiyot, HaPe'alim, HaDagesh, HaShemot, etc.). Each netiv  is divided into shvilim  with an overall introduction entitled 'Yessod HaBinyan.' This appears to be the mahadura kamma  of the sefer   Tzohar HaTeivah . Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the grammarian Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Henna . 97 written leaves written on both sides and [1] large folded table. Ashkenazic cursive with a few glosses in the margins, minimal worming perforations, tiny tear with lack in the first and last leaves. Old binding.
