Segulah for Wealth: Brit Goblet Used for Blessings by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky at thousands of Ritual Circumcisions!! - ”I will raise a cup of salvation” Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Kanievsky's silver goblet which he would use when serving as a sandek  on a daily basis, usually several britot  each day, over the course of decades, as well as during many other celebrations and  kiddushim , that took place in his study hall, as attested by the included authorization. One of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky's most beloved mitzvahs was to serve as sandek  at brit milahs, as did his uncle, the Chazon Ish, who would travel extensively to reach them. Parents would come from all over the country to bring their sons to have their babies' ritual circumcisions performed at the Lederman synagogue after Shacharit in an assembly line, sometimes five in one day. Reb Chaim would usually be given the honor of blessing the wine and drinking from it. This silver goblet was used by Rabbi Chaim for over thirty years. According to the gabbais ' estimates, this works out to over thirty thousand ritual circumcisions! As is known, the role of sandek  is associated with wealth in the Zohar  and in Kabbalistic literature. The Shulchan Aruch determines (Yoreh Deah 265:11 in the Ram”a): ”A sandak is like one who burns incense” - we maintain that incense enriches, ”so two children are not traditionally given to one person making a brit, as it says about incense: chaddashim laketoret .” It is impossible to assess the amount of segulah and sanctity in this kos yeshuot , upon which the gadol hador recited blessings at thousands of ritual circumcisions at which he served as sandak!! Confirmation included from the legendary gabbai of the Lederman synagogue, Rabbi Aharon Cohen: ”I, the undersigned, hereby affirm that the goblet and saucer in this picture were used by the Sar HaTorah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky ztzuk”l for over thirty years, when he served as sandak at brit milahs, as well as at sheva berachot and all the celebrations both on Shabbat and weekdays, when all seven blessings were recited over this goblet, signed Aharon Cohen, gabbai  of the Lederman study hall.” It should be noted that the shtender Rabbi Chaim used to pray at the Lederman synagogue was recently sold for an astronomical amount.
