Important and Especially Rare: Letter from the Av Beit Din of Frankfurt, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Horowitz, Son of the Hafla'ah - Lengthy and interesting halachic responsum, entirely handwritten and signed by the tremendous gaon Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch HaLevi Ish Horowitz, author of Machaneh Levi , av beit din  of Frankfurt am Main, son of Rabbi Pinchas Ish Horowitz, author of Hafla'ah . Sent to the gaon Rabbi Zekkel Wormish , av beit din  of Fulda, father-in-law of the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger. Frankfurt am Main, Kislev, 1813. Letters from him are extraordinarily rare! The question deals with a tragic incident in which the wife of Kohen was raped by four soldiers, as to whether she can rejoin her husband. The Machaneh Levi writes at the beginning of his letter that despite the many demands on him, due to this matter that is coming between a man and his wife, he is pushing all else aside to determine this halachah. After deliberating the opinions in the Rishonim , the Machaneh Levi determines ”I am of the opinion that permits her to return to her husband, without any hesitation, ” on condition that the husband himself declares that he doesn't believe her. This responsum was printed (with very slight changes) in his sefer  of responsa, Chomer BaKodesh (Responsum 24). Signs of tearing the envelope, without damage to the text. Remains of a red wax stamp. Some of the stamp covers individual words.
