Manuscript - Torah Readings and Prayer Services for the Festivals. Yemen, 19th Century - Manuscript - prayers, azharot  and readings for the annual festivals: Shavuot, Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Typical Yemenite script, most of which is vowelized. [Yemen, 19th century.] Beautiful orderly script with pretty red decorations at the beginnings and ends of various passages. The scribe Yichye ben Yitzchak's signature appears on the last leaf. The manuscript consists of: The Torah reading, the haftarah and azharot  for Shavuot. The Kri'ei Moed reading for Shavuot night. Hakafot for Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Torah readings for Sukkot and Simchat Torah. [335] written pages, thick paper. Two leaves bound in the incorrect places. 16 cm. Overall moderate condition. Numerous worming perforations, some restored with paper completions. Usage marks and wear. Tears in the margins of several leaves. Beautiful new leather binding.
