Discovery of Torah Novellae by the Posek HaDor, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. Not Printed - Complete lined notebook with Torah novellae by the gadol hador  the gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. Autograph script. [Jerusalem, c. 1940.] To the best of our knowledge, these novellae have not been printed. These chiddushim  are on Tractate Shabbat, upon which Reb Shlomo Zalman was considered the authority in the wake of his Sefer Meorei Esh  on hilchot Shabbat , authored when he was only in his twenties. It was due to this work that he so rapidly rose to prominence. The notebook contains both ma'archot Toraniyot  and novellae on the daf . At the beginning of the notebook, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman wrote two ma'archot Toraniyot - one on a boat sailing on Shabbat and the other, on rediyat hapat  on Shabbat. In the second chaburah , Rabbi Shlomo Zalman demonstrates his famed brilliance word by word, as he uses the laws of rediyat hapat on Shabbat to draw conclusions in  hilchot even haezer  for the ruling with respect to someone who conditionally divorced his wife.
