Unprinted Manuscript: Philosophic Drushim and Marvelous Insights from a Lithuanian Kabbalist. [C. 1880-1890] - Complete manuscript - seventeen scholarly  derashot  by an unknown writer who was certainly an expert Talmudic scholar. A significant part of the derashot  explicitly deals with clarifying the spiritual perspective and proof of the reality of the world and the purpose of the creations - according to the approaches of mussar, Kabbalah and also scholarly reasoning. [Lithuania, post-1883, apparently from the end of the 19th century.] The author was probably a graduate of the well-known Lithuanian yeshivahs. He does not cite novellae from contemporary geonim . Exceptionally, he writes in one place: ”The calculation of the 310 olamot  must still be elucidated according to what I heard from the light of the Diaspora, R' Yisrael Salanter ztz”l, directly from him ...” (page 74a). And in another place, ”... this is to hint at what I heard, a beautiful elucidation in the name of a certain gaon ...” (page 29a). The vast majority of sifrei haAcharonim  he mentions are from the fundamental Lithuanian sefarim  of the time: Sifrei HaGr”a , Nefesh HaChayim  by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin (several times), Sho'el UMeishiv , Sha'agat Aryeh  and Turei Even , the Malbi”m, Shev Shemaiteta , Shemen HaMor , Yad HaKetanah , Zecher Tzaddik , Shevivei Noga al HaZohar  (first printing, 1882) and others. In many places, the author cites the Zohar HaKadosh . As stated, the author is unidentified, but is certainly an important Torah personality. 14, 16-81, 92-100; 11 leaf, written on both sides (except for two pages). Several empty pages. 22 cm. Moderate-fine condition. Stains and ink smudges. Many worming perforations. Several detached leaves. New binding.
