Historic Letter Loaded with Blessings from the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Ya'akov HaLevi Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Probezhna, Rosh Yeshivah of Chochmei Lublin - Letter loaded with historic-Chassidic details, opening with blessings handwritten and signed by the renowned gaon Rabbi Avraham Ya'akov HaLevi Horowitz, av beit din  of Probezhna and one of the leading  poskim  of Galicia, sent to his relative R' Mordechai Aryeh Landau of Tel-Aviv. Probezhna, 1930s. The letter is written by two writers. The first part is by the rabbi of Probezhna, where he blesses the addressee with important blessings: ”I received [your] regards, and may Hashem answer [you] with expansiveness ...” This is followed by the historic-Chassidic part of the letter, written by Rabbi Dov Landau, the addressee's brother, who mentions his travels in his letter ”for the last days of the festival in Belz” and he also informs the addressee ”I mentioned you for the good in Belz.” According to the date, this refers to the Admo”r Mahary”d of Belz. The brother also mentions the Chortkov court in his letter, as well as two historic events: ”I heard it said that the situation in the Land of Israel has cooled somewhat, and the fear of war has dissipated.” Also, ”the Knessiah Gedolah that will take place in Jerusalem.”  Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of  Rabbi Avraham Ya'akov HaLevi Horowitz, ”The rabbi of Probezhna.” [1] postcard, approximately 14.5x10.5 cm.
