Collection of [4] Interesting Letters Handwritten by the Posek HaDor, the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach - ”Revelations of humility are not exceptional for Abba, but he has never written an expression like this one” (Rabbi Meir Simchah Auerbach) Collection of four important and interesting letters all handwritten and signed by the mighty gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, and sent to the gaon Rabbi Aharon Yeshayah Blau, shlit”a, author of Mar'eh Ish , and a leading Torah teacher. * 10-line letter dealing with a current - even in our days - question: Several avreichim  were occupied with hachnasat kallah  and collected a respectable sum towards the purchase of an apartment. The question arose as to whether the money should be exchanged into a stable currency (such as the dollar) so that its value would not deteriorate should the shekel depreciate. Rabbi Shlomo Zalman wrote ” ... I appreciate that I am also privileged to share in this great mitzvah” and he declared that the money should not be exchanged for foreign currency.  Later on in the letter, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman raises the practical viewpoint regarding the danger inherent specifically in currency exchange and also in keeping the cash around ”It should be deposited in a safe bank ...” At the end of the letter, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman writes in his renowned humility ”and with respect to the Rashba”m in Bava Batra ... I looked in my notebook on this tractate, and saw that I also felt this way; the Rashba”m has a differing opinion, but his honor has succeeded in elucidating it better.”  Revelations of humility are not uncommon for Rabbi Auerbach, but he has never written an expression like this one - as attested by his son, the gaon Rabbi Meir Simchah Auerbach to the letter's recipient. 17x11 cm. * 11-line letter in which Rabbi Shlomo Zalman requests that a receipt be sent for payment for the book Mar'eh Ish , concluding with warm blessings ”I shall bless [you] from the depths of my heart, that the Giver of the Torah assist your teaching Torah to the masses with expansive mindfulness, and to be privileged to [author] many good, beneficial  sefarim  ...” 20x13 cm. * Lengthy 16-line letter of recommendation for the precious and respectable lofty Rabbi Aharon Yeshayah Blau shlit”a, one of the Torah leaders in our holy city of Jerusalem ...” Official stationery, 1980. 27.5x22 cm. * Letter with warm blessings for Rabbi Aharon Yeshayah's son's bar mitzvah.
