Babylonian Talmud according to the first edition printed by Daniel Bomberg of Venice in 1520-1523, with changes to the text according to the Maharshal, Bach and more and with comparisons to texts in ancient manuscripts. With German translation and comments by Lazarus Goldschmidt. Berlin – Vienna, 1925.
This was Lazarus Goldschmidt's [1871-1950] magnum opus. He hoped that this translation would help fight anti-Semitism. Refer to: 'Tirgum HaTalmud Bavli L'Germanit', Areshset 2, 1960, p. 309-330.
Original bindings with embossing, lightly blemished. The books are in fine-very fine condition.
