Sefer Nachalah LiYehoshua - responsa and novellae on Sha"s by Rabbi Yehoshua Tzuntzin. Bound and printed with a joint title page together with Shitah Mekubetzet on Tractate Beitzah. Constantinople, 1731. Title page with a magnificent architectural border.
Only edition of the rare book of responsa and the first edition of Shitah Mekubetzet. The title page states that the Shitah Mekubetzet is "apparently" by Rabbi Bezalel Ashkenazi, and indeed these novellae were printed several times in later editions of Shitah Mekubetzet. Later on, these novellae on Tractate Beitzah were attributed to a disciple of the Ra"n.
Owner's stamps of Rabbi Eliezer Sirkis, Zgerzh - one of the leaders of pre- and post-Holocaust Chareidi Jewry and member of the Polish Sejm alongside Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin. Rabbi Sirkis had a huge library of approximately 15,000 volumes, including incunabula and valuable books.
