[1 blank leaf] 2-97 leaves, 35 cm.

Signature on the title page: "Benedict..." Many signatures and notations on the inner side of the front binding. Additional signature: "... of Friedburg" across the edges of the first two leaves.

Important edition of the Talmud that was printed in Frankfurt am Oder during the years 1697-1699. At the beginning of the volume, there is an illustrated leaf preceding the title page with the figures of Moses and Aharon, David and Shlomo and a short Hebrew text: "Great is study brought to practice, the minister ... Berman Segal, son of Rabbi Yehudah Lima, son-in-law of the late … Yoel z"l of Halberstadt. Year detail: 1697 [א'ו'ת'נ'ו' [תנ"ז]]. The philanthropist Yissachar Berman Segal supported publishing this edition and contributed a huge amount for its printing. He donated some copies of this Talmud to poor Torah scholars all over the world."

Moderate-fine condition. Aging stains and reinforcements. Detached title pages. Covered wooden binding with remnants of buckles. Blemished and incomplete.
