She'elot U'Teshuvot Torat Chaim by the renowned Rabbi Chaim Shabtai, head of the Salonika sages and one of the leading responders of his generation. Complete set in three volumes. Salonika, 1713-22. Uncommon fundamental books, especially rare in this complete condition.
* Volume I - Choshen Mishpat. Salonika, 1713.
Signature on the last page: "Ploni ibn Ploni."
* Volume II - Choshen Mishpat V'Kuntress Moda'ah V'Onassim, Salonika, 1715.
Many signatures of Rabbi Raphael ben Rabbi Michael HaKohen from 1725. This is apparently Rabbi Raphael son of the gvir R' Michael, who published Sefer Pri HaAdamah, Magen Shmuel, Minchat Bikkurim and others. The signature Shaha"n [or Shaga"n?] appears on leaf 100. Another signature, unidentified, appears on the title page. Several handwritten glosses.
* Volume III - Teshuvot Shonot, and omissions from the book Kerem Shlomo by Rabbi Shlomo Amarilio. Salonika, 1722.

[3] volumes. Various heights, ranging from 31.5 to 32.5 cm.
Overall fine-very fine condition. Minimal worming perforations. Aging and usage stains. Adhesions in some of the first and last leaves. Old, well-preserved bindings.
