Sefer Yeshayahu with "Peirush HaMaspik." One column discusses the topic, and the second, the words - elucidating all the literary terms and the doubled words ... by Rabbi Meir Leibush Malbim. [Krotshin], 1849. First edition. One of the first books printed by the Malbim.
First edition of the renowned commentary by the Malbi"m on Sefer Yeshayahu. Printed with the text of Sefer Yeshayahu. One of the first books printed by the Malbim. The title page does not indicate the place nor the name of the press, just that it was 'printed at a superior press.' However, bibliographers have determined that it was printed in Krotshin at Dov Ber Manish and Son's Press.
Many notations from the time of printing appear on the flyleaves, discussing the contents of the book.
This book was printed as a book in is own right and not a part of a set of Na"ch with the Malbi"m's commentary as was printed later in Warsaw - almost twenty years after this book was printed.
