Rabbi Eliyahu HaCohen Haitmari of Izmir [Otzar HaRabbanim 2129], son of Rabbi Shlomo Haitmari. One of the great sages of Izmir, where he died in 1729. This book is his first work to be published. Author of 'Midrash Talpiot', 'Meil Tzedaka', 'Midrash Eliyahu' and more. Ownership inscriptions in poetic language.
According to the printer's foreword, this is the first book printed in the joint printing press. Shoshana HaLevi 85.
