Large and spectacular collection - [27] different wedding, bar mitzvah, brit and birthday invitations! All from Jewish families, some famous and prominent. Jerusalem, early 20th century.
Invitations in various colors, sizes and designs that comprise a wide and elegant range providing a glimpse into a small corner of the lives of Jerusalem's Jews and marriage ties between the families.
The collection also includes several rare invitations for birthday celebrations! And a rare invitation to a ritual circumcision[!], which some say is to be avoided according to halachah. Its host is Rabbi Moshe Blau - a well-known and prominent activist.
