HaYehudim V'Sefat HaSlavim by Avraham Eliyahu Harachbi. Vilna, 1867.
HaYehudim V'Sefat HaSlavim: Midrishot V'Chakirot B'Korot Bnei Yisrael B'Eretz Russia by Avraham Eliyahu Harachbi. Re'em Press. Vilna, 1867. Two title pages.
In this book, Harachbi sheds new light on the early history of Russia and Russian Jewish history, with an emphasis on the history of the Kuzari kingdom. He investigated the history of southern Russia, Caucasus, Crimea and ancient Kiev. Harachbi claims in this book that the Jews in southern Russia spoke in Slavic languages before Jews arrived from Ashkenaz, and that the Jewish community in Russia was created by Jews who immigrated from the region of the Black Sea where they settled after the Babylonian exile, and that it was they who influenced the Kuzaris.
