Rabbi Dov Tzvi Carlenshtein (1934-2015) was the head of the Grodna Yeshiva in Ashdod.
Rabbi Tzvi Drabkin - (born in 1933) is the head of the Grodna Yeshiva in Be'er Yaakov.
Rabbi Ya'akov Zicherman - born in 1922 in the city of Helmin, Romania. A survivor of the Auschwitz death camp and the Bergen-Belsen labor camp. His money was released at the end of World War II together with his two brothers, survivors of a large family of 12. He immigrated to Israel in 1960 and since then lives in Ashdod. Throughout his years of residence in Ashdod, he volunteered without compensation to absorb immigrants from all sectors and to develop religious institutions in the city. Between 1962-1992 he served as a member of the religious council in Ashdod on a voluntary basis and served as deputy chairman of the council and chairman of the Finance Committee. He initiated the establishment of synagogues and religious institutions in the city, with the title of the "Memorial of the Martyrs" synagogue commemorating the martyrs of the Holocaust, in which he serves as the chairman of this day's community. Worked in the development of religious institutions and religious services was awarded the title of Yakir Ashdod for the year 1997.
