Sharp and encyclopedically knowledgeable in the 'rooms of Torah'...and all his actions are Leshem Shamaim, he dived into the great waters, and delved deep into halacha' (quote from the author of Kedushas Levi in his approbation to Levushei Srad). The author of Beer Mayim Chaim writes in his approbation:
"The light of Torah of the honorable rav and gaon, the great eagle...the splendor of Israel...and I have seen that the words of the sefer are the words of the Urim [Vetumim] which light up and sparkle to all sides and to each corner."
His holy sefarim have become accepted among Jewry all over the world, as Halacha Lema'aseh. The entire volume II printed here, from section 149 and on and has a separate title page- is the first edition of this section.
Zhitomir 5614 [1853] press of Rav Chanina Lipa Shapira and Rav Yehoshua Heshel Shapira. 32:84 pages. On last few pages is 'Biur Binyan Habayis' of Yechezkel with a drawing. A few moth holes in margins; a few restorations on page after title page; Bluish paper; good condition.
