Genuine silver Tobacco case, from the Holy Gaon Rabbi Meir Leib Frei Rav of Shuran.
Tobacco case, made of genuine silver, belonged to the inheritance possessions of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Meir Leib Frei of Shuran, great sage of his generation and from great Roshei Yeshivot in Hungary before the Holocaust, grandson of the Ketav Sofer.

The case shaped like an apple on a artfully decorated leg of a royal penetrating roaring lion. The lion stands on a round base decorated with flowers and geometric shapes at the top.
Weight 35 gram of genuine silver.

 The Gaon Rabbi Meir Leib Frei Rav of Shuran (1878-1944), great Rosh Yeshiva and posek of his generation. His father Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi, was the beloved son-in-law of the 'Ketav Sofer'. He acquired much Torah from his Rebbe and Uncle Moron 'Shevet Sofer' and his great Rebbes and geonim Rabbi Kaleiv Feivel Shlesinger Rav of Topoľčany author of 'Toraht Bar-Nash' and Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler author of 'Levushei Mordechai' Rav of Mad. The day he married the daughter of his uncle the Gaon Rabbi Yeshayehu Ehrenfeld Rav of Shuran he was appointed to succeed him and from then he was referred to everyone as 'Shuraner Rav.
