A case for a Megillat Esther in the shape of a tower, large and magnificent, with relief and engraving work done by an artist with writing with a special emphasis on the exact words of the blessings recited when reading the megillah “… al mikra megillah,” “sh’asa Nissim l’avoteinu…” and the shehechiyanu blessing. Reliefs with details from the megillah together with verses “And he touched the top of the scepter” – Esther and Achashverosh, “The Jews had light” – a circle of Jews dancing, “Mordechai sits at the king’s gates” – with Mordechai and Bigtan and Teresh, “And he led him through the streets of the city” – Mordechai led by Haman through the streets of the city. A square base upon which is a tube decorated in leaves and covered by a matching square with a decorated handle in the shape of a crown. Hallmarked “999” and unidentified artist’s signature “Shoral?” Total weight 896 grams. Total height: 43 cm. Width of the base: 10 x 10 cm.
