Sifra D’Tzniuta with a commentary by the Vilna Gaon – first edition, Vilna 1820
The book Sifra D’Tzniuta with a commentary by Rabbi Eliyahu son of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman known as the ‘Vilna Gaon’, first edition Vilna, 1820. With an introduction from his foremost disciple Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, and the author’s grandson Rabbi Yaakov Moshe son of Rabbi Avraham son of the Vilna Gaon. The commentary appears around the text, handwritten glosses in Rashi script, one long. Ownership stamp: Mordechai son of Rabbi Chaim of Jerusalem. [5], 59 leaves, [3]. Title page is missing, original faded binding, one leaf is detached, worming holes, slight tears at the sides of the pages, stains. Otherwise in good overall condition.
