The book Derech Tevunot by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto – the Ramchal. A work that is meant for “understanding the way of study and the foundations of pilpul in a brief manner that is sufficient to paint a picture of the matters in order to understand the teachings…” as the author writes in his introduction. First edition during the author’s lifetime – Amsterdam 1742. With an approbation from the rabbis of Amsterdam and the author’s introduction. Ownership signature: “Yaakov Shalom Lifshitz” and an additional signature in Latin script that was not examined in depth. 6 23-41 leaves. With explanations of foreign words and indexes. (Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 475). Wooden binding with a cloth spine, except for a small tear on the title page and on page 12 that do not damage the text, unblemished, small stains, a copy preserved in excellent condition of an extremely rare book. A miniature book, dimensions: 7 x 11.5 cm. Derech Tevunot – one of the series of books written by the Ramchal (1707-1744) in which he clothes the deep secret if the Jewish people in words, and as part of the books of instruction that he wrote, like Sefer Hahigayon on the rules of logic and the book Lashon Limmudim on the rules of writing and public speaking. These books show the greatness of the author, who apart from being a tremendous expert in the revealed Torah and in the kabbalah, was also well versed in logic, poetry and other disciplines.
