Sefer Kelalim Manuscript – Rabbi Yitzchak Rosenberg Av-Beit-Din Hadahz
Handwritten composition on the Mishnah and the adjudicators, by Rabbi Yitzchak Rosenberg Av Beit Din Hajduhadhaz.
Leaves 10-11 feature a copy of halachic letter signed by Rabbi Rosenberg.
Written on a donations booklet of "Chevrah Mezonot De-Bachurim Hadhaz" (with names and details of donors).
The Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Rosenberg (1860-1940, Otzar HaRabbanim 11028), Gaon and Tzadik, of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. Author of "Gvurot Yitzchak". Son of Rabbi Yossef Rosenberg Av Beit Din Püspök-Ladány (Hungary) and author of "Yad Yosef U'Rvid HaZahav". Disciple of the great disciples of the Chatam Sofer, son-in-low of Rabbi Baruch Lichtenstein son of the Gaon Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kolomea. Served for sixty years as Av Beit Din of the city Hajduhadhaz. Died in Austria after deported to there with his community by the Nazis.
Later inscriptions appear on some leaves: "copied for printing…". It seems, though, that this composition has not been printed.
146 pages, 24 cm. Good condition. Ink stamps "Emanuel Rosenfeld".
