Rebbe Yossef Paneth (1895-1962, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 8512). Son of Rebbe Yechezkel Paneth author of "Knesset Yisrael", Av-Beit-Din of Dej. As of 1929 served as Av-Beit-Din and Rosh Yeshivah of Ilonda (Transylvania). After the German conquest fled from Dej Ghetto to Romania with nine of his children and they survived. After the war returned to Dej and reconstructed the ruins, later emigrated to the United States and re-established the Dej Chassidic Dynasty. Served like his ancestors as president of Kolel "Ahavat Zion" of Siebenbergen community in Eretz Yisrael (Kolel matters are mentioned in the letter).
