Letter by order of the Admor Rabbi Baruch of Vizhnitz - 1887
A letter written in the name of and by order of the Admor Rabbi Baruch of Vizhnitz. Kislev 1887.
A long letter about a problem regarding the money of a certain widow of one of his men in the city of Kolomea. The letter mentions the Gaon of Kolomea, and often the "Admor shlita" is mentioned, making it clear that the letter and its content was written "in the name of the Admor shlita" by his regular scribe.
At the top of the letter is the stamp of the Admor "Baruch son of the Rav the Tzaddik of Vizhnitz".
Rabbi Baruch Hager – the Imrei Baruch (1845-1892, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, Part 1, page 367), son of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel, author of Tzemach Tzaddik, and son-in-law of Rabbi Aryeh Leib Shapira of Zhitomir. From 1885, he was crowned to succeed his father, a position he carried for only seven years [it is rare to find letters from that period]. All his sons served as Admorim, his firstborn was Rabbi Yisrael Hager of Vizhnitz, author of Ahavat Yisrael.
