Magen David, interpretations following the orders of the Parashot, sermons and festivals, by Rabbi David Twersky of Tulna. Zhitomir, 1852 printed by the Shapira Brothers, grandsons of the Rabbi from Slavita. First edition.
Two title pages: one is short and the other is detailed, it has the name of the book and print location printed in red ink.
The first Admor from Tulna – Rabbi David Twersky [1808-1883], was the son of Rabbi Mordechai from Chernobyl. Married the grand daughter of Rabbi Zusya from Annapolis. Served as Rabbi in Wasilkow, where he authored this present book (the first one that was printed), then moved to Tulna where he passed away.
120 leaves, 20cm. Good condition. Stains. Moth damage, partially restored (non professional). Support paper glued to many leaves’ borders
