On the back side a dedication to Rabbi Amiel. A photographer of Carlsbad's signature.
Rabbi Moshe Avigdor Amiel [1883-1945, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 12531], philosopher, active for Eretz Yisrael settlement. In 1905 rabbi of Svencian, in 1920 rabbi of Antwerp, in 1936 Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
Rabbi Shlomo David Kahana [1869-1954, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 18707], rabbi in Warsaw, made aliya to Jerusalem in 1940 and served as rabbi in the Old City. A leading teacher, after the holocaust got requests from around the world to release widows of holocaust victims for marriage.
