Attributed to Ludwig Meidner (1884-1966)
Two works: Illustrations of a Memorial for Holocaust Victims / [Late 1940s-early 1950s] / Watercolor and charcoal on paper / 39.5X42 cm; 40.5X43.5 cm
Provenance: purchased through F. Dörling Auction House in Hamburg (1981). Enclosed is a certificate on behalf of the auction house certifying that the works are sketches for a monument which has never been built, and were commissioned for sale by one of Meidner’s friends.
