Two Ketubot – Yazd, 1914
1. Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Zion son of Ya’akov HaCohen with the bride Mazal Tov daughter of Babai. Yazd, Nissan Mevorach, 1914. Ornamented with a floral frame, watercolors. At the bottom is the Tosefet Ketubah in Judeo-Persian. Among the signatures: Rabbi Hillel Chai HaCohen (Yazd sage). 42.5X48.5 cm. Fair-poor condition. Large open tear to lower left corner. Tears to folding lines with damage to text. Stains and wear. 2. Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom [---] son of Yechezkel with the bride Moroarid daughter of Shimon. Yazd, [Iyar/Adar?] 1914. Ink ornaments: flowers, a cypress tree and a pair of peacocks. At the bottom is a Tosefet Ketubah in Judeo-Persian. 43X69 cm. Fair-poor condition. Mounted on paper. Creases. Open tears, with damage to text. Stains and wear.
