Handwritten, ancient Chumash (Genesis-Exodus). Yemen, 14-15th century. 68 leaves, paper. 29×20 cm. Print Yemenite hand with vocalization and punctuation. Each verse is followed by Targum Onkelos with superlinear vocalization and Targum R’ Saadya Gaon in Arabic. With the Mesorah Ketana and Gedola. The manuscript is incomplete, and features Torah portions from Vayerah through Bo. New, brown leather binding. Blemishes to the bottom of most leaves, affecting the text of the Mesorah HaGedolah. Tears to a number of leaves with loss of text. Minimal aging stains. Moderate-fine condition. This manuscript was in the collection of Rabbi Yosef Kapach z”l.
