With the Milchemet Mitzvah from the author’s son, Rabbi Avraham HaLevi regarding the polemic involving the calculation of the day of circumcision. Venice, [1697]. Only edition. Handwritten glosses. 282, 41 leaves, 28.5 cm. Two title pages. Sketch of the Holy Temple. Rabbinical stamps. Rabbi Mordechai Halevi (1600-1684) was the rabbi of Egypt. His son, Rabbi Avraham (1650-1704), succeeded his father and authored the “Ginat Veradim”. The back of the title page features a large sketch of the Holy Temple. Two lengthy comments from the era in which the book was printed. Scholarly comments that begin: א”א. Rare book. The National Library does not have a complete copy. Broken binding. The first five leaves are detached. Aging stains. Fine condition.
