Questions and answers from the Ohr Zarua. Leipzig, [1860]. Signature of Rabbi Azriel Hildsheimer, with his bookplate. First edition. XIV leaves. 91 pg. 8 leaves, 22.5 cm. First edition. Was a manuscript for 600 years. Rav Azriel Hildsheimer [1820-1899] was a leader of German Jewry and a student of the ‘Aruch Le’Ner’. He served as the rabbi of Eisenstadt, before moving to Berlin in 1869 where he established the Beit Medrash L’Rabbanim. Old binding, front part detached. Aging stains. Very fine condition.
