Letter handwritten by Rabbi Avraham Kutner - to Admor of Strapkov, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Lifshitz-Halberstam.
Rabbi Avraham Kutner: Chief Rabbi of Lod for 28 years, starting from the early days of the city, in 1948. He was close to hearts and was popular with all sectors of the population - secular and religious - during his tenure he developed religious services and brought Shabbat and Shabbat He was born in Warsaw, Poland at the beginning of the 20th century, studied and received rabbinical ordination from the Torat Chaim Yeshiva in Brest and from the Radzyn Yeshiva and served as Rabbi of Shimshiliya in Bessarabia, Romania. The second wrote a ten-volume Torah treatise that was designed as a primary opinion in halakhah and aggadah, but only one part was published, the Shea Destroyed during the war. Died in Tsl"h (1978).
R abbi Yechezkel Shraga Lifshitz-Halberstam: Rebbe of Stropkov (1905-1995), son of his daughter and disciple of the Admor Rabbi Shalom Halberstam of Stropkov. Served abroad as Av Beit Din Yablonka and Dayan in Burgas. After the hardships of the Holocaust he served as rabbi in the DP camps in Bomberg and in the Galilot Franconia. In 1949, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and settled in Ramle, where he established the "Divrei Chaim" Beit Midrash.
