Lot of four pieces of parchment with examples of Stam writing of scribes—Holland, 18th century.
Used by Stam scribes as examples of their work. Different sizes, generally good condition. The scribes would send these to communities that wished to order from them or that needed a sefer torah or megillah. Signed: “Shlomo Frank, Shob and Mohel, Darshan and Sofer Stam in the Jewish community of [Oud-Beijerland],” “Yitzhak Redlich, Sofer Stam in Rotterdam,” “handwritten by me, Yaakov ben Kemer Mordechai HaKohen, Sofer Stam in Groningen and Leeuwarden.
