Hanukkah Story for Children – Haifa, 1940s
Hanukkah book for children, story: Emanuel [Yaffe?], illustrated by Binyamin, written by Aliza. Published by Pinat HaSefer, Haifa, [ca. 1940s]. "Chag LaYeled no. 1".
Rhymed booklet telling children the Hanukkah story. The booklet is accompanied by illustrations (signed in the plate: Ben). The text is printed in orange and the illustrations in blue, on light blue leaves.
Apparently, the author of the booklet is the educator and children's author Emanuel Yaffe (1911-1978).

[8] leaves, 16.5X21 cm. Good-fair condition. Stained. Leaves 4 and 5 are, most probably, bound in wrong order. Tears along the spine, some restored with adhesive tape. Pencil inscription on the cover.
