Collection of Torah Novellae Handwritten by Rabbi Yosef Yoffey

Collection of manuscripts with Torah novellae on the Talmud and the Midrashim handwritten by Rabbi Yosef Yoffey. A total of 80 leaves. Written when his was rabbi of Fakroy.
To the best of our knowledge, the novellae has never been printed.
Rabbi Yosef Yoffey was the disciple of Rabbi Eliezer Gordon in Kaunas. After his marriage, he studied at th e"Kollle Ha'Perushim" of Eyshishok. In 1874 when he was 29 years old, he was chosen as the rabbi of Fakroy. In 1878 he lived in Rosienie and was close to Rabbi Alexander Moshe Lapidot. Later, he served as the rabbi of Salant. With his father's death in 1889, he moved to Gorzhd and replaced him as its rabbi.
In 1893, he left Lithuania and moved to Manchester, England, where he served as a rabbi of a synagogue. He died in 1898, leaving manuscripts that had not been published, among them the ones before us.
Added is the first book he published "Yosef Be'Or" on the Song of Songs (Vilnius, 1881).
