"Buy the Shekel" - Poster Designed by Otte Wallisch, 1941
"Kol MiYerushalayim, Heye Chaver baHistadrut HaZionit", poster on behalf of the World Zionist Organization. Linol: Zvi Bergman. Cooperative printing press "HaPoel HaTza'ir" Ltd., Tel-Aviv, [1941]. Design: Otte Wallisch (signed in the plate: "MW" and "Atelier Dr. Machner-Wallisch Tel-Aviv").
Illustration in color of "Beit HaTenua HaZionit" (National Institutions building in Jerusalem) with the flag of Israel. Printed on top of the poster: "Kol MiYerushalayim, Heye Chaver baHistadrut HaZionit" [Voice from the Gerusalem, become a member of the Zionist Organization] and on the lower part - "Shiklu et HaShekel / Hagbiru et Kochenu HaMeurgan!" [Buy the Shekel / strengthen our organized power].
63X94.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Folding marks and creases. Some stains. Tears at margins. Some tears repaired with pasted brown paper strips on the back of the poster (among them a tear of 11 cm).
