Testimonial letter by Rabbi Nathan Zvi Friedman, 8.11.1962, printed and hand-signed by him, recounting the story of the murder of a Jewish woman's parents by the Nazis in the Białowieża Forest. *Rabbi Nathan Zvi Freidman (21 July 1914 - 23 August 1993) was a rabbi, scholar and writer, one of Bnei Brak's first rabbis. After World War II he served as a rabbi to the surviving remnant of the Bavarian Föhrenwald camp, was a member of the Council of Freed Jews in Munich and a representitive of the surviving remnant at the 22nd World Zionist Congress. After the war, in 1946, he immigrated to Israel and served as a rabbi in Givat Shmuel. In 1951 Freidman was appointed as the rabbi of the Shikun Bet neighborhood in Bnei Brak, which was home of new immigrants from Eastern Europe and Yemen. He performed this role for 40 years.
