Born Kurt Erich Sucker, he adopted the Malaparte surname, meaning “wrong-bad side” opposed to Napoleon´s surname Bonaparte which means “good side”. Book signed and inscribed, an 8vo paperback edition of Le Bonhomme Lenin (“The Dear Departed Lenin) by Malaparte, the French text edition published by Bernard Grasset, Paris, 1932.
