Binder of 'HaChayal' newspapers [78 Issues]. Daily newspaper of the soldiers of the Jewish Brigade. Italy, 1946.
The newspaper was printed between the end of World War II and the establishment of Israel, when the Brigade was serving in Western Europe. It includes daily reports from newspapers in Eretz Yisrael, important events such as news items related to the refugee camps, testimony, immigration attempts and soldiers' memories of the war. Includes the first issue that was published on the 10th of Adar - March 5, 1944. Under the title [in Hebrew]: "L'Chayal: Daily news leaflet for Jewish soldiers in Europe, " and the last issue that was published on June 21, 1946, with the official dissolution of the Jewish Brigade.
77 issues from Monday, the 17th of Adar, 18.2.1946, through Friday, the 22nd of Sivan, 21.6.1946 (other than the first issue from 1944). Includes a number of supplements published for Shabbat and holidays.
Bound together in a new, stiff cloth binding. Tears and loss in a number of leaves. Overall fine condition.
