Manuscript, Israel, beginning of the 20th century. Historic item.
Ledger of debits and credits of one of Israel’s institutions. From 1927-1930. An historic document from an exciting period of growth for the Jewish community of Israel. More than 2000 items, names of those giving and receiving with reasons for each. Shadarim appearing by name (for example, 7,682 to Rashaz Glickman, a Shadar in England), payments of support to widows, bank transfers, committee for resolution of payment for a horse and buggy to drive to the bank and payments for buying a “tea and coffee.” 158 pages written and many more empty pages. Generally good condition. 17x20cm.
